+ Cuyahoga Valley Width
The Cuyahoga Valley is approximately 80 feet deep as it extends through the Lake Plain. The Valley's width varies. The Valley is approximately ½ mile wide from Lake Erie to the I-490 Bridge but then widens to 1 to 1 ½ miles south to Harvard Road. This wide portion of the Valley is also the location of the large steel works that historically provided a foundation for much of Cleveland's economy. Upriver the Valley narrows to 1/3 to ½ miles until it reaches the area where West Creek and Mill Creek enter the Valley, at which point the Valley widens again.
Pleasant Valley Road crosses the valley in the vicinity of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
